How to set it as your ringtone

iPhone

  1. With a computer: connect the iPhone, open Finder (Mac) or Apple Devices / iTunes (Windows) and drag the .m4r file onto the iPhone in the device list.
  2. Without a computer: save the MP3 or M4A to Files, open GarageBand → any project → the loop icon → Files → drag the track onto a track lane → My Songs → long-press the project → Share → Ringtone.
  3. Then go to Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone; the new sound is at the top.

Android

  1. Download the MP3 or OGG to your phone.
  2. Settings → Sound (or Sounds and vibration) → Ringtone → Add or My sounds → pick the file.
  3. No such option? Move the file to the Ringtones folder in internal storage and it shows up in the list.
