Grok Imagine is the video model from xAI, the company behind the Grok chatbot. Version 1.5 follows prompts noticeably more closely, keeps a person's appearance from the source photo better and generates sound together with the picture: dialogue, ambient noise and music.
The model works in both modes. Photo to video animates your shot while keeping the composition. Text to video films a scene from scratch in 16:9, 9:16 or 1:1. Duration is 5, 10 or 15 seconds — it's one of the few models that makes a 15-second clip in a single generation. Resolution is 720p or 1080p.
Grok Imagine 1.5 is great for dynamic scenes, clips with speech and long takes for social media. You can then change the finished video with Edit Video, extend it or upscale it to 4K.
