Every haircut guide starts with “know your face shape”, and that's where most people get stuck. Tracing your face on the bathroom mirror with lipstick is fiddly, and the answer still depends on how you squint at it. The face shape detector does what a stylist does: it compares the length of your face with its width and the forehead, cheekbones and jaw with each other.
Upload a photo where you look straight at the camera with your hair off your forehead. The AI measures the proportions and picks one of six shapes: oval, round, square, heart, oblong or diamond. Faces are rarely textbook, so when yours sits between two shapes it says so: “Heart, close to oval”. The card shows the shape outline, a short line on which proportions point to it, and the four measures — length, forehead, cheekbones and jaw.
Then come the practical bits. Three haircuts to try, each with a reason, and one to avoid. Frame shapes that suit you and ones to skip, a brow shape that balances your face and, for men with facial hair, a beard or stubble shape. Want to see the haircut on yourself before the salon? The hairstyle try-on and the glasses try-on are one click away from the result.
The result is a 1080×1350 card with your photo, ready to save or send to your hairdresser, and it stays in your history. If the angle, a head tilt or a fringe makes the shape hard to judge, the card tells you so instead of guessing confidently.
