Audio

Audio Converter

Any sound to MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC at the bitrate you need.

I

The converter reads almost any audio: MP3, WAV, M4A and AAC, OGG and OPUS (WhatsApp and Telegram voice notes), FLAC, AMR (old voice recorders and call recordings), WMA and AIFF, plus the soundtrack of any video.

Pick a format and bitrate: MP3 for any player, M4A for iPhone, OGG for games and the web, WAV and FLAC for lossless editing and archiving. Mono halves the size and suits speech.

Common formats are processed in your browser. Browsers can't read AMR, WMA or AIFF, so those go to our server.

FAQ

Which bitrate should I choose?+

192 kbps for music, 64–96 kbps in mono for speech. Going above the source bitrate doesn't help.

How do I make an audio file smaller?+

Choose MP3 with a lower bitrate and turn on Mono for speech, or switch to Compress mode and pick the bitrate there.

Is it free?+

Yes. Converting and compressing are free and need no sign-up. Without an account you can send files up to 100 MB and videos up to 10 minutes to the server; signed in, up to 500 MB and 30 minutes. In the browser, pictures up to 150 MB and videos up to 1 GB are handled locally.

Where do my files go?+

Whatever your browser can do happens on your device, and the file never leaves it. The rest runs on our server, and files are deleted about an hour after they're ready.
