HEIC to JPG Converter

Turn iPhone photos into JPGs that open on any PC, website or printer kiosk.

I

iPhones have saved photos as HEIC since iOS 11. The files are smaller, but Windows needs an extra extension to open them, and plenty of upload forms, print shops and older apps simply reject them. JPG works everywhere.

Drop your photos into the box above. The converter recognizes HEIC and offers JPG; add as many photos as you like and grab them all as one ZIP. Orientation is applied, so nothing ends up sideways.

By default, metadata such as location, date and camera is removed, which is safer when you send photos to strangers. Need it? Turn on “Keep EXIF” and the file is processed on our server, where metadata is carried over in full.

FAQ

Why does my iPhone save HEIC?+

To save space at the same quality. If you'd rather get JPGs, go to Settings → Camera → Formats and choose “Most Compatible”. Photos you already took can be converted here.

Will I lose quality?+

JPG is lossy, but at 90% quality you won't see the difference. For a lossless copy choose PNG; the file will be larger.

Can I keep the date the photo was taken?+

Yes. Turn on “Keep EXIF” and the date, camera model and other metadata are copied to the JPG.

What about Live Photos?+

The still image is taken from the HEIC. The motion part is a separate MOV file, which you can convert to MP4 or GIF on this page too.

Is it free?+

Yes. Converting and compressing are free and need no sign-up. Without an account you can send files up to 100 MB and videos up to 10 minutes to the server; signed in, up to 500 MB and 30 minutes. In the browser, pictures up to 150 MB and videos up to 1 GB are handled locally.

Where do my files go?+

Files are processed right in your browser and never uploaded. If the browser can't handle a file (a rare codec or a very large file), it goes to our server instead and is deleted about an hour later.
