Removing a video background used to mean shooting in front of a green screen or rotoscoping frame by frame. Here AI does the cut-out: it separates whoever is in the shot from everything behind them, hair and moving hands included.
Upload a video up to 60 seconds and 70 MB. The clip is first brought to 30 frames per second, then VEED Background Removal cuts out the subject and refines the edges so there's no halo on the new background. If the subject isn't a person but a product, a pet or an object, switch off “There is a person in the shot”.
Then choose what goes behind. Green screen gives you a clean chroma key that any editor understands, from CapCut to Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Solid color puts the subject on white, black, grey or any color you pick. Blur keeps the original background but softens it, like portrait mode on a phone. You can upload your own image, cropped to fit the frame, or describe a scene and let GPT Image 2.5 paint it. The original audio is kept.
Every result also comes with a transparent WebM, a video with an alpha channel you can drop over another clip, a slide deck or a web page. The price depends only on the length of the video, and you see it before you start.
