Convert Video to 9:16

Make a horizontal clip vertical for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, without losing the shot.

A real result

Before
After

Source: a Kling sample clip. Right: 9:16 with a blurred background.

I

Pick a shape: 9:16 for Reels, Shorts and TikTok, 1:1 square, 4:5 for the Instagram feed, 16:9 for YouTube, or 4:3.

Then decide what fills the gaps. “Blurred background” is the popular choice: the whole clip sits in the middle over a blurred copy of itself. “Black bars” is the classic. “Crop the edges” fills the screen and trims the sides; choose whether to keep the left, centre or right.

FAQ

What resolution is a 9:16 video?+

1080×1920 is the standard for Reels, Shorts and TikTok. We keep your source's sharpness: a 1280×720 clip becomes 720×1280.

Blur or crop?+

If everything in the frame matters (a landscape, a group), use the blur. If the subject is in the middle (someone talking), crop so they fill the screen.

Is it free?+

Yes. No sign-up, no subscription, no watermark. In the browser, files up to 1 GB. When the server is needed: without an account, up to 100 MB, 10-minute videos and 60-minute audio; signed in, up to 500 MB, 30-minute videos and 3 hours of audio.

Where do my files go?+

Files are processed right in your browser and never uploaded. If the browser can't handle one (a rare format, a very large file or an old browser), it goes to our server instead and is deleted about an hour after it's ready.
