How to Create Your Own K-pop Idol with AI: Avatar, Stage Name, Group and Profile Card

Girl or boy group, anime, webtoon or 3D, six concepts — and AI builds the whole idol: the look, the stage name, the position, the MBTI, the debut song and a universe of their own.

Every K-pop fan knows their bias's profile by heart: position, birthday, MBTI, the official colour, the emoji fans use for them. Virtual idols take that one step further — groups of animated characters that release songs, stream and play concerts like any other act. So why not debut one of your own?

Virtual Idol on ImageGPT does exactly that. You choose a group, an art style and a concept; AI draws the avatar and writes the profile, from the group name to a greeting for fans. In English, Korean and eight other languages you also get a 4:5 profile card, sized for stories and profile pictures.

What you get

We picked a boy group, the anime style and the Charisma concept, and wrote: "Black hair with a red streak, skateboarding, cats, the rapper". AI named him RYN (린 in Hangul), put him in a group called VEXOR as the main rapper, and gave him ISFP, a Crimson Red signature colour, a street cat as his symbol and a debut song called "Night Circuit". The card under the portrait carries all of it.

The profile also has a universe — a few lines about the world your idol comes from — plus a greeting for fans and hashtags. It shows up next to the form, and the Copy button grabs the whole thing for a fan fic, a caption or your group chat.

The profile is written in the language of the site, so switch ImageGPT to Korean and the whole thing comes back in Korean, card included. Our first test was a girl group in 3D with the Dreamy concept: LUNE of MIRALUNE, main vocal, with a white rabbit as her symbol.

The choices

  • Group — girl group or boy group. It shapes the look, the positions and the group name.
  • Style — anime (clean lines and bright colours, like official character art), webtoon (soft digital painting, like Korean comics) or 3D (like the avatars of virtual groups).
  • Concept — fresh summer, cute, charisma, dreamy, dark fantasy or cyber. That's the outfit, the lighting and the setting: summer gets the sea and sunshine, dark fantasy gets moonlit ruins and a cape.
  • Stage name — optional, up to 20 characters. Leave it empty and AI invents one; type your own and it's kept exactly.
  • Your idol's vibe — optional, up to 300 characters: hair, eyes, favourite things, their role in the group. The more specific, the more of it ends up in both the portrait and the profile.
  • Your photo — optional. Add one and the idol will look like you.

An idol made from your selfie

With a photo, AI keeps your face shape, eyes, hair colour, skin tone and apparent age, and redraws everything in the chosen style. It's not a filter over your picture — it's a character people will recognise as you. Use a clear selfie with one face and nothing covering it. We uploaded a photo of a young woman with long braids and wrote "keep my long braids, loves autumn and books": the result was SORI of VELUNE, lead vocal and dancer.

Step by step

  1. Open Virtual Idol.
  2. Pick a group, a style and a concept.
  3. Optionally add a stage name, a line or two about the vibe, and a selfie.
  4. Choose one or two versions — the second shows the same idol from another angle and pose.
  5. Tap Create idol. In about half a minute you get the avatar, the card and the profile.

What to write about your idol

Prompt

Silver bob, loves white rabbits and rainy days, sings ballads, shy but funny

Prompt

Pink twin tails, a gamer, loves strawberry milk, main dancer

Prompt

Black hair with a red streak, skateboarding, cats, the rapper

The second one became MIRO of NEXORA — main dancer, ENFP, Strawberry Pink, with a debut song called "Pixel Pop". Name a position (maknae, visual, leader, main vocal) and AI will use it; leave it out and it picks one that fits.

House rules

Every idol is original: AI is told not to copy real groups, members or their names. Outfits stay stage-appropriate for a teen audience. The avatar and the card are yours to use as a profile picture, in stories or in your fan fiction.

Pricing

6 credits per idol, 12 credits for two versions. The profile and the card are included. If AI fails to draw the avatar, the credits for it come back. New accounts get 6 free credits.

Pick a group, a style and a concept, and meet your idol.
