MP3 Cutter

Cut the part you need on a waveform, with smooth fades at both ends.

Before
After

A song made with Lyria and a 10-second clip cut from it.

Drop in a song, a voice memo or a podcast and its waveform appears. Drag the handles or type the times, and use “Play selection” to hear the cut before you save it. Arrow keys nudge a handle by 0.1 s.

A couple of seconds of fade in and out stops the clip from starting or ending abruptly, which matters for videos, slides and ringtones. If you don't need fades or a new format, MP3s are cut without re-encoding, so quality stays exactly as it was.

Reads MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG, FLAC, AAC and the sound from any video. Save in the same format or as MP3, M4A, WAV, OGG or FLAC.

FAQ

Can I cut audio out of a video?+

Yes. Add the video and its sound opens as a track.

How do I make a ringtone?+

Use the ringtone maker: it limits the length, adds fades and saves M4R for iPhone or MP3 for Android.

Is it free?+

Yes. No sign-up, no subscription, no watermark. In the browser, files up to 1 GB. When the server is needed: without an account, up to 100 MB, 10-minute videos and 60-minute audio; signed in, up to 500 MB, 30-minute videos and 3 hours of audio.

Where do my files go?+

Files are processed right in your browser and never uploaded. If the browser can't handle one (a rare format, a very large file or an old browser), it goes to our server instead and is deleted about an hour after it's ready.
