Ringtone

Ringtone Maker

Turn your favourite chorus into a ringtone for iPhone or Android, with install steps included.

A real result

A ringtone from the first 30 seconds of a song made with Lyria, with fades (an MP3 preview here; for iPhone you download M4R).

I

iPhones only take ringtones as M4R files of up to 40 seconds. Add a song, select the chorus on the waveform (the selection won't go past the limit) and hit “Make ringtone”. For Android, choose MP3 or OGG and go up to 60 seconds.

Fade in and fade out are already on, so the ring doesn't start with a bang or cut off mid-word. Quiet song? Turn up the volume slider.

Step-by-step install instructions appear under the result. No song in mind? The AI can compose an original ringtone melody for 13 credits, and the editor picks up from there.

FAQ

How do I put a ringtone on my iPhone?+

With a computer: connect the iPhone, open Finder (Mac) or Apple Devices / iTunes (Windows) and drag the .m4r file onto the iPhone in the device list. Without a computer: save the clip as MP3 or M4A to Files, open GarageBand → any project → the loop icon → Files → drag the track onto a lane → My Songs → long-press the project → Share → Ringtone. It then shows up in Settings → Sounds & Haptics → Ringtone.

How do I set a ringtone on Android?+

Copy the MP3 to your phone, open Settings → Sound → Phone ringtone and pick the file from storage. On some phones it's quicker to open the file in the file manager and choose “Set as ringtone”.

Why is the iPhone limit 40 seconds?+

iPhones won't accept a longer M4R as a ringtone.

Is it free?+

Yes. No sign-up, no subscription, no watermark. In the browser, files up to 1 GB. When the server is needed: without an account, up to 100 MB, 10-minute videos and 60-minute audio; signed in, up to 500 MB, 30-minute videos and 3 hours of audio.

Where do my files go?+

Files are processed right in your browser and never uploaded. If the browser can't handle one (a rare format, a very large file or an old browser), it goes to our server instead and is deleted about an hour after it's ready.
